After completing the 5th to 7th-semester exchange program at NTUST, the top 25% of students from each department in the UPTP can apply for the Ministry of Education's 'Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP)'. Selected students can stay in Taiwan for internships with companies.

As students do not maintain official enrollment at NTUST during the 8th semester in Taiwan, applying for the TEEP program enables students to be exempt from applying for a work permit and to sign a non-employment contract.

Internship salaries are determined by the regulations of each participating company or through agreements between the company and the student.

Accommodation during the internship period is coordinated between the student and the participating company. It can be arranged by the company, with the provision of accommodation or rental subsidies, or students may choose to make their own arrangements.
